Sutera, Mid-century Modern Japanese Textiles

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at The Language of Cloth (see times)
Bold, colorful, and surprisingly modern designs on silk kimonos and other textiles from the 70's and 80's for wearing or decorating a wall, on display adjacent to The Language of Cloth Pop-up Shop, from the collection of artist David Pikes who has lived in Japan for the past 20 years collection. Many meisen pieces, striking weft or warp ikat textiles in wild and dramatic over-scaled patterns unlike what is normally expected from Japanese design. Very reasonable pricing.
