The long wooden tables which comprise seating at Suppenküche might initially seem at odds with upscale German cuisine, but as soon as you taste the whole sausage sitting in your ham soup, it all comes together in some obscure Bavarian way. Since Suppenkuche doesn't accept reservations for parties under six people, you might have a bit of a wait at the bar - like two hours - but that's all right since the restaurant stocks hard to find German imports, most on tap.
