BIG JUGS (Santa Barbara) Sometimes controversial, sometimes semi-offensive, but always humorous and not afraid to say it: They love big jugs. The boys of Big Jugs love a number of other things, too, but due to strict codes of ethics, those things can’t be listed here. Nevertheless, their special brand of alt-bluegrass ain't no novelty act, it's honest-to-goodness goodness.

DEEP CHATHAM (NC)
Deep Chatham was formed by guitarist Julian Sikes and upright bassist Jeff Loops, two ferociously talented songwriters. The duo crafted a heavy handful of original songs characterized by driving
rhythms, intricate harmonies, and haunting melodies and immediately took their act on the road. After touring for a year or so they crossed paths with gifted fiddle and banjo player Matt Heckler who they recruited and set forth as a power trio. The trio recently picked up long-time friend and musical partner, Trevor Grassi, on the piano and accordion. With this new musical accompaniment, the four entered the studio to create their second full-length album- Flood debuted in March, 2013.
