The Sunol Wilderness Area is a little-known gem tucked away in the southern part of the East Bay. Some of this park's highlights include its great wildflowers, beautiful views, quiet trails, and Little Yosemite - a secluded, refreshing swimming hole.
The Sunol Wilderness is near Fremont in the East Bay. From I-680 take the exit for Calveras Rd. Follow Calveras Rd for 4 miles to Geary Rd. Make a left onto Geary and follow it for 2 miles to the park entrance. There is a $4 parking fee.
