Spend your Sunday morning shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables and specialty foods, participate in the making of a colorful community mural, watch a live cooking demo by a local chef and pick up a free tote bag. Shoppers paying with federal nutrition benefits (food stamps) are welcome.
Naked Juice has already donated 75,000 pounds worth of fresh fruit and vegetables to Wholesome Wave, a national organization that provides local produce to the underserved by distributing double value coupons to those eligible for federal nutrition benefits, allowing them to redeem these coupons for twice the amount of fresh produce at farmers markets like Stonestown.
