Stompy Jones
Stompy Jones is a San Francisco based sextet, renowned for their jumpin rhythm, wailing improvisations, hip charm and explosive stage show.
The solid sounds of these journeymen of jump are delivered in the romping, joyous, overwhelming style of jazz that came to be known as rock n roll! Little David Rose's thumpin' stand-up bass, the double-shuffle drumming of Lee Beary, and the bounce piano of William Beatty provide the rhythmic foundation of the band's jump style. Riffing on top is the trumpet sound of Robert Dehlinger and Keith Crossan on the saxophone. These two fellas create the fireworks of vintage rhythm and blues. The charming Hank Maninger on vocals and lead guitar have become a trademark of Stompy Jones.

Three Times Bad
THREE TIMES BAD is “a hot new string band born from the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed, transmedia novel badbadbad” (Hood River News) by group leader Jesus Angel Garcia. Based in Oakland and San Francisco, California, THREE TIMES BAD plays “dirty American roots music” (The Register-Guard) that’s both genre-defying and inclusive. The band’s debut studio recording, AMERICAN SOJOURN, was released in May 2014 with an epic multimedia (music/dance/film) event at Slim’s, one of the Bay Area’s top venues. The CD was named “ALBUM OF THE WEEK” on Mike Morrison’s American Roots radio program. “It is a brilliantly conceived album,” says Morrison. “There is a mastery of their instruments and arrangements that enables them to roam at will through various old-time genres that contain not only a large slice of ‘hillbilly,’ but also folk, a little western swing, blues, jazz, all played in their own inimitably unique style.”

Laura Benitez and the Heartache
Laura Benitez and the Heartache use the three chord tools of country music to tell the simple, unvarnished truth about love, too much whiskey, and the call of the road. Their songs range from honky-tonk shuffles to rock 'n' roll numbers to sweet old time waltzes, and cover everything from unwed motherhood ("Me or the Baby") to mean drunks ("Don't Wake the Devil"), with a whole lot of heartbreak in between. Their twangy honesty shines through in straightforward arrangements, crystalline harmonies, and spare instrumentation. Beware their catchy hooks and sweet melodies - these stray puppy tunes will follow you home and become your most steadfast companions. Following the November 2014 release of their critically acclaimed album, "Heartless Woman," the band is hitting the road this summer, appearing at the Ink n Iron Festivals in both Long Beach, CA and Nashville, TN.
