Situated on the shores of Stafford Lake, three miles west of Novato, this 139-acre regional park serves large scale events, large picnics, musical performances, and other festivities that have a countywide and regional draw. Stafford is unique among our regional parks - it is the least developed and has a quiet bucolic character, representative of Marin County’s agricultural heritage.
This park offers shore fishing (catfish, bluegill, and bass), the Terwilliger nature trail, picnic areas with barbecue facilities for groups of up to 500 people, lawn areas, large meadows, Stafford Lake bike park, a nature adventure playground including zipline, volleyball, a disc golf course, and horseshoe courts. Swimming is prohibited.
