The America's Cup and Dockers® brand are proud to present the Sounds of San Francisco concert series this summer. It consists of six free afternoon concerts that will showcase emerging local bands who will perform at the America's Cup Pavilion at Piers 27/29.
First 250 guests in attendance will receive a limited edition Dockers® blanket!
Join us on Thursday, September 12, with a performance by The Frail from 3:30PM - 5:30PM.
Recently named the best up-and-coming act in San Francisco by Deli Magazine, The Frail has already been featured on MTV, won the viewer's choice award in Owl Magazine's "Video Makes The Radio Star" contest, and have opened for Hot Chip, Justice, Moby, Neon Trees, MSTRKRFT, TV on The Radio and Goldfrapp to name a few.
Pushing the pop and electronic boundaries to something bigger, their music is a hybrid of indie, pop, synth, Top 40, and electro. Defying traditional genre classification, the group's electro-tinged cuts toe the line between a falsetto homage to Michael Jackson and the hyper-literate electro experimentation of DFA acts like LCD Soundsystem.
The Frail have performed at festivals such as SXSW, Treasure Island, Noise Pop, & BFD. Music by The Frail has been licensed for television series such as The Kardashians, Bad Girls Club, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, etc. as well as for advertising campaigns by Nike, Patagonia, and Quicksilver.
