João Barbosa AKA Branko first became known on the International scene as the driving creative force in Buraka som Sistema, the worldwide phenomenon whose releases helped create a new attitude towards global sounds. The seminal collective is responsible for reshaping dance music culture and spawning a myriad of sub-genres that shaped the Global Club Music scene and were championed by the producer's label Enchufada.
Branko's solo work has included several singles, a mixtape and an EP, featuring collaborations with Zebra Katz, Roses Gabor, Dominique Young Unique and Njena Redfoxx, but 2015 saw him take on his most ambitious project to date. Challenging the notion that "everything has already been discovered," Branko embarked on a musical journey across the globe, diving into some of the most vibrant music scenes today to meet and work with a new generation of artists in places like Capetown, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo, New York and Lisbon.
The end result was his debut full-length album, ATLAS, and a 5 episode Web Series featuring his travels called Atlas Unfolded.

San Francisco-based Deejay Theory is steadily carving a lane somewhere between the beach and the rave, as a leading ambassador of the Tropical Bass sound in the US. His infectious productions have led to official remixes for some of reggae music’s royalty including: Sizzla, Beenie Man, Jah Cure, Gappy Ranks, Luciano, Jahdan Blakkamoore and beyond. Vibe Magazine named Deejay Theory as one of the "10 Dance Music DJ’s Your Should Know By Now" as he earns global support and co-signs from your favorite artists, publications, and radio stations.
In addition to constant solo movements, collaborations, and regular projects with production partner J Boogie as Brother in Arms, Theory also represents for N. America’s Faction Sound Crew and the leading Caribbean lifestyle authority online LargeUp.com. His residency at San Francisco's Tormenta Tropical party w/ partner Oro11 brings a host of like minded DJ's and producers into town, while his Night Moves party and other club nights reflect Theory's deep and diverse love of good music from all corners. 2016 is looking way up for Theory as he readies his debut EP and continues to bring his signature sound and vibes to the world.
