Description

DAYDREAM NATION was Sonic Youth’s sixth album, their first double, clocking in at 70 minutes, and their last for indie label Blast First. Having debuted the raw material at US shows in June 1988, it was recorded in July and August, previewed on a brief European tour in September and released in October ‘88.

Arguably their most commercial release of the six (since then others Dirty, Goo, Sonic Nurse, Rather Ripped have competed for that accolade), it saw the band consolidate their inimitable style and drew a huge amount of major label interest, resulting in a multi album deal with Geffen...
