Reggae-rock has been popular ever since Sublime skanked onto the airwaves two decades ago. Arizona's Something Like Seduction have the reggae grooves and the rock guitars, but skew toward the pop end of the spectrum--a spacier Magic-type vibe. There's also a bit of feel-good soul in the mix, particularly with lead singer Connor Shea's soulful, pop-friendly voice. The four-piece keep the music raw and stripped down. They formed only a couple of years ago, and plan to release their first LP in 2015. This San Jose show is part of their first tour outside of Arizona.
