SOL HORIZON, The Stu Tails, Clear Conscience

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Sol Horizon

Voted "Best World/Reggae band" in the North Bay Area, Sol Horizon seamlessly fuses roots reggae with rock, funk, world and electronic dance. Anchored by veteran musicians (including former members of Groundation and Les Claypool's Frog Brigade) Sol is renowned for energetic live performances and their lyrical content, which centers on on themes of peace, community, sustainability and the re-vitalizing power of nature. The band moves feet and inspires minds, creating a positive musical experience that continues to attract fans from across the globe. Sol has shared the stage with legendary acts like Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Morgan Heritage, Collie Buddz, Don Carlos, Eek-a-mouse, and Prezident Brown (to name a few) in both concert halls and festival stages across the USA. In 2008 after touring in support, they collaborated with British Roots Reggae star Pato Banton on the recording of their second album "Party Revolution," which featured Pato on the title track. The bands 3rd album, “Ready For Action” was released in June of 2012 and a 4th album is currently in production under the direction of Grammy winning engineer Isha Erskine.

The Stu Tails

Upon first listening to The Stu Tails, you’ll immediately understand why the band members named themselves after such a hard hitting, party starting concoction. Between their exuberant live stagesmanship, danceable reggae-infused rock riffs and radio-friendly arrangements and hooks, the band has managed to create a sound and presence that has gotten the attention from several notable figures in the music world. Bob Jamieson, former RCA and BMG CEO, said, “Their potential is unlimited. I haven’t seen a band with this much energy and musicianship in a long time.” After recording their first album Indecent Exposure and receiving millions of online song plays, the band decided to take their sound to the west coast. Currently residing in San Francisco, CA, the four members continue to play across the U.S. and Canada while their music continues to gain traction. In October 2013 the band returned to the studio to record "Unconscious Communication". The first single off the album, "I’m Gone", has launched to much critical acclaim, receiving top tier reviews from SoundOut and other music reviewers.
