at Oracle Park (7pm)
Green Day with The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, + The Linda Lindas

Celebrate 30 years of Dookie, 20 years of American Idiot, and the band's new album Saviors.

The tour will be a larger-than-life, career-spanning celebration of one of the biggest musical acts of all time and some of the most important albums in history. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Green Day's 1994 certified Diamond album, Dookie, and the 20th anniversary of 2004's juggernaut, American Idiot. Each a cultural phenomenon in its own right, these albums have remained at the forefront of punk culture since their release. With blazing guitars and electrifying vocals, Green Day are ready to bring their mind-blowing collection of hits to stadiums across the country, along with plenty of additions from their newly announced album, Saviors.

Green Day shared, "We've never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that's meant to be rocked live, together. So let's thrash. We've got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!"

Formed in Berkeley, Green Day is a familiar artist for Oracle Park having performed at the ballpark in 2021 on the Hella Mega Tour and in 2005 on the American Idiot World Tour, which at the time broke the ballpark's attendance record at 45,000 fans.

"Oracle Park is thrilled to welcome home Green Day for their tour stop in San Francisco," said Joey Nevin, Vice President of Giants Enterprises. "We pride ourselves on being a venue that both artists and fans want to return to year after year for unforgettable performances."

Green Day redefined punk rock in a post-grunge world. Rising from the Bay Area punk scene in 1987, the band released several EPs before coalescing into their long-standing lineup of vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. The trio shared the independent album Kerplunk in 1991 before releasing their major label debut Dookie in 1994. Behind singles like "Longview," "Basket Case" and "When I Come Around," which each topped the Alternative Airplay chart, Dookie reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Dookie earned Green Day three Grammy nominations, including a win for Best Alternative Music Performance, and the album continues to stand as the band's best-selling release with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. Green Day followed with 1995's Insomniac and 1997's Nimrod, with the latter boasting the band's biggest creative shift with the rare acoustic single, "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)." After 2000's Warning, Green Day spent the next few years developing their first of several ambitious projects, the 2004 punk rock opera American Idiot. The album became Green Day's first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it logged two Top 10 singles with "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "Wake Me Up When September Ends." American Idiot garnered seven Grammy nominations and won two, including Best Rock Album. The band won the Best Rock Album Grammy again with 2009's concept album 21st Century Breakdown. A stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway in 2010 and won two Tony Awards and a Grammy for the cast recording. Furthermore, Green Day were first-ballot inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
