San Francisco’s Knockout Room and the Light A Fire music series present Sing Out, an evening of experimental song, free improvisation, and general unpredictability. The night includes a special duo set from legendary free improviser Fred Frith (Henry Cow, Massacre) and local signal bender Patrice Scanlon, new music from art rock/free jazz trio Grex and guitarist Karl Evangelista (“one of the most original instrumentalists and composers of his generation,” according to Signal to Noise), and Dominique Leone’s exciting brand of progressive pop.
