“Show!†Bridges Indie-Rock, Dance, and Poetry, For One Night Only.
San Jose, CA – Friday, April 10th, 2015 – “Show!†is a quality indie rock concert, and something extra. Rooted in DIY ethics and big city aesthetics, creators Cliff Rawson and Freya Seeburger (recently repatriated to SJ after long residencies in Brooklyn and San Francisco) bring together some of the bay area’s best independent bands from a wide variety of genre’s in this first ambitious, youth friendly installment of what will be a recurring SJ culture party. With six bands on two stages including cross-bay power houses Curios Quail and RinTinTiger, Show! #1(All-Ages) will be hosted by stand-up poet “Mighty†Mike McGee, and will include a guest dance performance by Ballet San Jose’s James Kopecky, as well as food, drink, and ambiance courtesy of SLG Art Boutiki, the hip, quirky gallery/comic-book-shop/event-space that’s hosting “Show! #1â€. Rawson and Seeburger’s proto punk band Cola is also on the bill as well as SF’s Panic is Perfect, plus local faves Steely Nash, and up-and-coming noise-gazers Real Flower.
