We are thrilled to officially launch the Techies Project, a portrait collection from photographer Helena Price sharing stories of people underrepresented in the greater tech narrative. This first public showcase of the Techies Project will include remarks from the photographer as well as some of her subjects.
The launch is timed with Pride month in San Francisco, and includes profiles of LGBT employees from Facebook, Pinterest, Airbnb, Google, Dropbox, Twilio and more, and includes notable LGBT entrepreneurs such as Robyn Exton, founder of Her.

The One City Forum engages sf.citi members and community leaders to explore issues important to the tech industry and to all San Franciscans, including corporate social responsibility, education, and diversity in the workforce. Through regular events, the Forum convenes leaders from across sectors to discuss the issues and share best practices. About the Techies Project
Techies is a portrait project focused on sharing stories of tech employees in Silicon Valley. Techies covers subjects who tend to be underrepresented in the greater tech narrative. This includes (but is not limited to) women, people of color, folks over 50, LGBT, working parents, disabled, etc.
The project has two main goals: to show the outside world a more comprehensive picture of people who work in tech, and to bring a bit of attention to folks in the industry whose stories have never been heard, considered or celebrated. We believe storytelling is a powerful tool for social impact and positive change.
Since its launch, the Techies Project has been profiled on ABC, CNN, Newsweek, Fortune, Fast Company, The Guardian, Elle and more.
