SF Bach Choir presents J.S. Bach's Mass in B Minor

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Choir continues its 80th anniversary season with two performances of one of the supreme achievements of classical music, Johann Sebastian Bach's Mass in B-Minor.

Perhaps the greatest choral work ever written, J.S. Bach's glorious Mass in B-Minor (BWV 232) offers a journey of heart and soul; intimate, dazzling, tender, and powerful.

Be transported by Bach's timeless masterpiece -- a veritable compendium of 100 years of musical style, from Renaissance motets to the latest Italianate fashion -- all knit into a glorious unified whole. Although universally recognized as a pinnacle of human creativity, at its core this work is a personal expression of spiritual devotion that transcends religious boundaries.

Soloists: Mary Ellen Callahan, soprano, Rita Lilly, soprano; Heidi Waterman, mezzo-soprano ; Brian Thorsett, tenor; and Yannick Lambrecht, bass-baritone; with the Jubilate Orchestra on period instruments.

Advance tickets are $5 off door price:
$30 - General/Adult
$25 - Senior (62 and over)

FREE - Youth (18 and under)
