The San José Woman's Club (SJWC) provides scholarships for local students, funds local and women's charitable organizations, preserves its landmark Clubhouse, and provides a home for like-minded people to gather together to enjoy camaraderie and work on mutual goals.
SJWC has been a formal organization since 1894, when nine women first gathered to discuss forming an alliance. At that time, women across the nation were forming clubs to study and discuss various topics of importance.

The San José Woman's Club (SJWC) 3,000 square feet of hardwood floors, perfect for those who plan on doing a little dancing. The ballroom also boasts 30 foot high ceilings and a row of grand arched windows that face north, providing ample daytime light and evening atmosphere. Encompassing one end of the space is a raised, full stage which includes a separate entrance and multiple dressing rooms.
