The Annual Vietnamese New Year Tet Festival at the Santa Clara County Fairgounds is celebrated in late January or early February every year, and is regarded as the most important holiday in Vietnamese culture.

The San Jose Tet Festival is the biggest annual event hosted by the Coalition of Nationalist Vietnamese Organizations of Northern California to promote Vietnamese culture and preserve traditional customs among over 300,000 Vietnamese residents of California. The event attracts 40,000 to 70,000 people.
