Every year, downtown San Jose becomes the backyard of a fantastical kingdom in honor of the city's Renaissance Faire. Wizards, nobles, jesters and more flood through the land where Shakespeare stole hearts and the best workout was a good 3-hour butter churning session. Folks can expect the full experience of walking in the shoes of a townsperson during the reign of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth I. The eccentricity and merriment are captured in each attraction, which will be on display this weekend through the clamoring venue of lute and bard notes, clashing metal and flying arrows.
