We are so excited to bring you over 60 films directed and co-directed by Women. This year’s premieres, features, and short films truly reflect the vitality of women filmmakers from around the world! We had a record-number of submissions this year that reveals the growth of the festival. Our program includes a wide range of emerging and established talent as well as unique voices that are so often underrepresented. The 2006 SF Women’s Film Festival is a necessary step in the advancement of women in cinema. Women directors should no longer be left out or considered a side note in our curriculum, film festivals, film history and the film industry.
