FILM FINALS is SF State Cinema Department’s marquee annual event. This jury-selected showcase of student films draws from graduate and undergraduate students in narrative, documentary, animated and experimental formats. In it's 53rd year, FILM FINALS is the longest standing tradition in the cinema department’s history, and is older than almost all American film festivals!
After an evening of feasting on some exceptional cinematic talent, the event will culminate in an Award Ceremony Reception and after-party where all are welcome. Additionally, this year's event will include a tribute to the work and career of professor, scholar and author, Bill Nichols, who will be retiring from the department this Spring.
Admission is free!
