When it comes to Latin-rock, Santana is pretty much God, so when self-described Santana super fan Lisa Delgado (the head of Santana's fan club) wanted to go all out for her birthday party, she did the next best to booking the Great One-she booked a couple of the Bay Area's best Latin-rock bands at Club Fox. Ruckatan fuses passionate Latin rock with energetic African and Caribbean rhythms. They'll be jamming with long time Santana conga player, Raul Rekow, and El Chicano bassist Fred Sanchez. Avance are a 13-piece Salsa band who gives the genre a sultry, romantic old-school R&B flair. (Amulya Datla)
