Rose Quartz: Quartz may be one of the most abundant minerals on Earth, but electro-pop indie band Rose Quartz are anything but ordinary -- in fact a dancey act like Rose Quartz is nothing short of rare in their hometown of Denver. Colorado may be more known for legal weed and skiing than for music (with the exception of the almighty John Denver), but Rose Quartz is working to change that. The duo, who not too long ago were called FLASH/LIGHTS, has added two more young men to their ranks, changed their name, started their own record label (HUG Records), and opened up for high profile indie acts over the past few years. The band only began performing in 2010, and are already well on their way to making a big name for themselves. Combining smooth crooning (oh that magical power that has made the ladies sway for ages) with modern electro indie rock aesthetics, Rose Quartz is working their way into hearts of bros who want to dance and just chill to some sultry synth jams. The band is not ashamed to work the pop-ier nature of their musical leanings, with hard to resist beats and the aforementioned smooth crooning. Live, the four-piece dons real life instruments along with their programming: synths, drums, guitar, bass -- all played by good looking dudes who just want you to move your body. And believe me, you won't be able to resist.
