Root Division Taste 2016

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Root Division’s TASTE 2016 promises to be a night not to forget, with cuisine and cocktails generously donated and made on site in Root Division’s new Mission Street facility. Featuring over 20 famed local chefs and mixologists this annual spring fundraiser is a delicious evening of food-inspired art and art-inspired food benefitting one of San Francisco’s top non-profit visual arts organizations!

A treat for all the senses, sample artful appetizers by 12-16 amazing local chefs, complimentary culinary cocktails by famed mixologists, served alongside an exhibition of artwork by 13 emerging artists and live music by Hanna and the Handsomes.

The theme of this year’s event is The Alchemist, illuminating the artist, the chef, the mixologist as wizards in their craft. Conjuring up colorful experiments and irresistible concoctions, this event aims to illuminate the magical transformations that occur in the studio and in the kitchen. VIP’s and Host Level Sponsors can expect special treats including chef demos, a limited edition artist designed tote bag, and access to the Diamond Lounge.

Funds raised from this fantastic event enable Root Division to train artists and teach free arts classes to over 600 underserved youth who would otherwise not receive arts education.

Root Division is a visual arts ecosystem where artists receive subsidized studio space in exchange for service to the community. Each artist in our program volunteers 12 hours of service per month towards teaching art to youth and adults as well as coordinating engaging exhibitions. We are committed to continuing the tradition of supporting excellence and accessibility in the visual arts, and cannot do it without community support!
