The Roxie gives you THREE, count them THREE great events on April 5th! Our scheduled screenings at the Roxie and Little Roxie AND our offsite benefit ROCK/SEE with THEE OH SEES, SONNY AND THE SUNSETS, FUTURE TWIN and ASSATEAGUE at the VERDI CLUB!!! On April 5th at 7:30pm we’ll be teaming up with four of San Francisco’s finest lo-fi/garage bands at the historic Verdi Club to support the Roxie’s campaign to renovate and upgrade our smaller theater, the Little Roxie.
ROCK/SEE promises to be a memorable evening that merges music and movies with community and history. One theater and four bands all rooted in providing audiences with a unique, intimate, and mind-bending experience will come together to deliver just that. The event will celebrate the San Francisco Mission District neighborhood they all emerged from, while raising money to support one of the city’s last remaining independent cinemas. While many non-profit arts organizations are joining forces with corporate entities and developers, the ROXIE is partnering with members of San Francisco’s indie music community – THEE OH SEES, SONNY AND THE SUNSETS, FUTURE TWIN, and ASSATEAGUE to help raise the funds to continue supporting diverse, independent creative works not driven by financial interests. The evening will also include projections by indie filmmakers BARRY JENKINS, JIM GRANATO and more!

Tickets are $25. Thanks to the the generous support of the bands, the filmmakers, and The Verdi Club all the proceeds go to the Roxie!
