Songwriter Rob Jamner makes his Bay Area debut at the The Black Pug Cafe & Roastery, joined by drummer Sam Rueckert and bassist Charlie Kimball. Copies of his home-grown EP, Lost in the Clouds, will be on sale for $5.
Rob Jamner is a dynamic songwriter and performer, drawing from the strong melodies of alternative rock, the rich harmonies of lyrical jazz, and the candid storytelling of American folk. In his lyrics he expresses moments of introspection and compassion, and on stage he engages the audience with his sincerity and his openness.
Rob has performed in New York City, Cleveland, OH, and Louisville, KY. He released Lost in the Clouds, his first collection of songs, on September 1, 2015. His 2014 arts residency at Lincoln Elementary Performing Arts School in Louisville culminated in a collaborative performance of his original music, featuring voice and dance students. Beyond songwriting, Rob's poetry and prose have been included in The Plum Creek Review, Oberlin College’s longest-running literary magazine, and in Louisville Eccentric Observer (LEO) Weekly’s annual literary contest. His short play, “The Silver Spatula,” was selected as part of Actors Theatre of Louisville’s New Voices Festival.
