RE@DS is included with L@TE admission.
$7.00 General Admission.
Free for BAM/PFA Members and UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff.

Fall 2014 RE@DS guest programmer Genine Lentine writes, “In trying to pinpoint the essential quality of the writing I keep close at hand, I recently coined the term “avant morte.” I reserve this term for writers who inhabit life with such astonishing courage, resilience, tenderness—and aplomb—it seems they’ve already come through death. To read their work is to learn what it takes to live. Here are twelve such poets and writers.”

RJ Ingram lives in Oakland and is pursuing an M.F.A. in creative writing with concentrations in poetry and creative nonfiction from Saint Mary's College of California, where he is an editor for Mary. He also works as social media editor for Omnidawn Publishing and outreach director for Quiet Lightning. He recently finished Two Angels, a chapbook written in conjunction with the Featherboard Writing Series at Aggregate Space in Oakland. New work can be found in Timber, Whiskey Island, Salt Hill, and Selfies in Ink. His cat Brenda lives in North Carolina and lost a leg during a high stakes game of bocce.

Rocket Caleshu, born in San Francisco in 1984, is an M.F.A. candidate in creative writing in the Critical Studies Department at the California Institute of the Arts. Rocket is also a letterpress printer and book artist, and received an A.B. from Brown University in Africana Studies.
