Annual gala celebrates Full Circle Fund’s innovative social entrepreneurship model and its significant impact on Bay Area’s most pressing issues

Honoring innovative leaders in philanthropy, including Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, Lyft CEO Logan Green, Sako Fisher, Mauricio Lim Miller and The Golden State Warriors

WHAT:
Full Circle Fund is pleased to announce its annual gala celebration, RISE: 15 Years of Partnering For Good, to honor its network of professionals who leverage their time, talent, and connections to accelerate positive change in the Bay Area. Through their innovative engaged philanthropy model, Full Circle Fund members have vetted, selected, and partnered with over 100 nonprofit organizations to produce significant achievements toward social causes.

RISE kicks off with a reception and retrospective exhibit that showcases 15 years of impactful milestones, followed by the gala, which reveals Full Circle Fund’s vision for the future. The gala will spotlight prominent business and philanthropic leaders whose generosity, creativity, and drive have resulted in significant advancement for social causes. This year’s honorees are:
• Reed Hastings, Netflix CEO
• Logan Green, Lyft co-founder and CEO
• Mauricio Lim Miller, Family Independence Initiative founder and CEO
• The Golden State Warriors, represented by Joe Lacob, Co-Executive Chairman, CEO & Governor, and Nicole Curran, President of the Board, Warriors Community Foundation
• Sakurako Fisher, President, San Francisco Symphony

RISE event chairs are Vivian Wu, Managing Director of Zuckerberg Education Ventures, and Josh Becker, CEO of Lex Machina and Full Circle Fund Chairman of the Board. Event sponsors include Cooley, Goldman Sachs, Google.org, KPMG, Microsoft, and Pacific Gas & Electric. The Host Committee for RISE includes Michael Anders, Karen and Ellis Alden, Sakurako Fisher, Rob Black, Mark Jacobstein, Kevin Perkins, Alison and Mark Pincus, Susanna Poon, Tim Smith, and Peter and Jocelyn Werner.

Individual tickets $650: sponsorship packages range from $10,000 to $50,000.

BACKGROUND:
Full Circle Fund is a San Francisco-based engaged philanthropy community with a dual mission of empowering and informing a network of professionals and building the capacity of Bay Area nonprofits addressing social and environmental challenges. Full Circle’s membership of over 200 professionals work hand-in-hand with nonprofit organizations in four areas, or “circles”: economic opportunity, education, environment and energy, and health. Each year, members explore the key issues in these areas, identify and vet high-impact nonprofits, and then select a portfolio of nonprofit innovators, or Grant Partners, to affect change. Grant Partners receive unrestricted grants along with a dedicated team of Members who leverage their expertise and networks to advance the mission.

Since 2000, Full Circle Fund has raised $11 million, partnered with 100 organizations and mobilized thousands of Bay Area professionals to volunteer over 90,000 hours of service.
