Mono/Poly has been a name to watch since his debut, The George Machine, back in 2009. His 2011 EP release for Brainfeeder, Manifestations, was supported by artists as diverse as Radiohead and Erykah Badu and his work on Thundercat’s Apocalypse established once and for all the quality of his productions. With Golden Skies he has laid down a marker to any other “beat maker” out there. Because with a genuine producer with this much talent, everyone else needs to aim a little bit higher – up towards the golden skies.

Hailing from the Belgian capital of Brussels, Squeaky Lobster is also known as Laurent Delforge bass player in rock and jazz bands. Nowadays, you’re more likely to find him on stage, pumping up his heady concoctions of chest-pummelling bass and skittering beats. By the way, he’s still playing bass in the band South of No North, who have released an album on Belgian label Humpty Dumpty.
Squeaky Lobster keeps things close to home, having released all his material on another Belgian label, Vlek records, also based in Brussels. It is in fact on Vlek that Squeaky Lobster started off, first with a split 7” alongside Russian producer Lapti – AMAI #2/4 – and in 2011 with a solo 10” release titled Will-O-The-Wisp EP.
