Luna Rienne Gallery is pleased to present Reflection/Refraction, a solo exhibition and hexaptych by artist Kelly Ording. Reflecton/Refraction is a collection of six paintings, based on the spectrum of colors.
Opening Saturday, August 23, 6-9PM
Showing through September 12, 2014
Kelly Ording's works on paper blend organic and geometric shapes with exact lines, pairing intuitive and mathematical mark-making. She questions the singular object and its amplification through massive repetition, resulting in vivid ethereal landscapes. The pieces are as much about their creation process as the resulting imagery.
Ording is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute. She recently created a large-scale mosaic mural at the Pelaga Recreation Center in San Francisco, and has completed private murals at companies such as Facebook, Verizon, and Go Daddy.
Reflection/Refraction will be on exhibit from August 23 to September 12 at Luna Rienne Gallery, 3318 22nd Street near Valencia in San Francisco. Formerly known as fabric8, Luna Rienne features visual artists working in contemporary mediums who integrate elements of urban culture with traditional techniques.
