GUEST DJ SETS 10:30am - 6pm

10:30 am – 12:00 pm: DJ BEARZBUB

For over a decade, DJ Bearzbub has been spinning everywhere from his home base of San Francisco to Los Angeles, and internationally at world class parties in Berlin and beyond. He is frequently heard DJing for Leader of The Pack (with DJ ChakaQuan) at the Lone Star and at The SF Eagle. DJ Bearzbub has also DJed at Amoeba Music, with his most recent event being "Around Amoeba in 90 Minutes" in which he played one track from every section in the store.

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: OKIE ORAN

The man behind the legend:
DJ OKIEORAN (aka OkieOran Scott, the human tripod, Tickle me Okie, Mixmaster Okie or Hey You!) is an enigma, surrounded by intrigue, shrouded in mystery and sometimes covered in chocolate.

As a media mogul, his success has been as meteoric as it has been anonymous. He has scaled the heights of fame and notoriety whilst, incredibly, attracting none of the attention such attributes usually acquire. He is the Richard Branson of 50 year old 100% VINYL dance floor music, only without the profile or the money.

Apart from a big beer gut and a laugh to make the sluttiest schoolgirl blush, OKIEORAN brings to the dance floor a warmth akin to pissing your pants. Combining 45RPM ROCKnROLL beats, brazen Oldies dance floor grooves that make you wanna go “Yeah, baby! Spank me some more!” and a willingness to whore himself out to whichever musical style FROM THE 1940S-1960S will be in vogue next week!

Chaos ensues whenever OKIEORAN gets on the ones and twos. But few know about the private side of OKIEORAN. Despite having his life story woefully misrepresented in the Hollywood hit movie A Beautiful Mind (and the subsequent porn remake, A Beautiful Merkin), OKIEORAN has played more than his part in encouraging the gradual disintegration of decent society.

One third of the successful promotions team at Teenage Dance Craze, he can lay claim to a very successful five years at the top of the SAN FRANCISCO scene at venues such as the THE KNOCKOUT, CLUB DELUXE and the always controversial St MARY'S PUB, not to mention a number of regional tours (read: they went to Tiki Oasis and got in free).

In addition, he is the brains behind RELIC VINTAGE, San Francisco’s finest vintage shopping destination. But aside from pissing around pretending to be a big-shot promoter so he doesn’t have to pay a cover, OKIEORAN is all about the music (sometimes). If there is one thing you can guarantee from him (aside from forgetting to put you on the guest list, forgery of drinks vouchers and the occasional D&D), it is his musical selection. OKIEORAN is equally at home playing a slinky, smooth opening set, building the crowd for peak time or even lifting the roof off the night himself. He is a man who could draw a crowd going to the service station to get a bag of chips. He enjoys a loyal underground following within SF BAY AREA of a sincerity and depth that most other DJs only enjoy with their coke dealers.

Along the way OKIEORAN has hitched a ride on the coat tails of DJs of the fame and notoriety of Girl Groups Night, Oldies Night, Monkey Time, Shuckin n Jivin, etc. etc.

Available exclusively for mosque openings, bar mitzvahs, swingers sessions, christenings, funerals, children’s parties, office functions, charity fundraisers, supermarket openings, special guest appearances, dolly tea parties, bay cruises, school benefits, beautiful baby contests, weekend retreats, pet shows, Elvis conventions, Lions Club events, strata meetings, teddy bear picnics, corporate golf days, wine tastings, sports meets, street protests and any other form of gathering greater than five people! Musical genius has never been so accessible.

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: PHILIP SELWAY (Radiohead)

Four years after the unexpected and exquisite treat that was Philip Selway’s debut album Familial, the man formerly known only as the drummer of Radiohead returns with his sophomore record, Weatherhouse. At ten tracks and 38 minutes, the album is as concise in shape as it is expansive in mood and assured in execution, mining a generally darker, fuller sound than its gentler, more acoustic-based predecessor and reflecting the band-centred nature of its construction and its creator’s growth in confidence.

2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: DJ PRIMO (Teenage Dance Craze)

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: RUSSELL QUAN

Russell Quan has been a faithful fan and employee of rock n roll for several decades. His credentials include: Mummies drummer, Chuckleberrys drummer, Dukes of Hamburg harmonica, Phantom Surfers guitar, mechanic at Bud Adams auto repair, and record playing terrorist at Teenage Dance Craze (at Knockout Lounge in SF the last friday of every month and Bar 355 in Oakland first saturdays of every month).

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: DJ BOOMBOSTIC

DJ Boombostic is an artist, DJ, and a curator who connects people with local professional artists. He is the founder of San Francisco Artist Networking Talents (SFant), an organization that connects people who need world class SF artists for their next event. Through SF ANTS, DJ Boombostic uses his curation skills as a Disc Jockey of 18 years. He has a full mobile sound system and works company events, art exhibitions, fashion shows, weddings, and more. He also coordinates art exhibits and photography shows, handling the preparation, installation, and de-installion of valuable art work. His next event is an all vinyl/all '80's dance/art night called All 80s Everything at Pop's Bar in the Mission on May 2nd at 10pm to 1:30am. All 80s Everything is sponsored by Vinyl Dreams, Explorist International, and Amoeba Music.

5:00 pm – 6:00 pm: DJ KELLS BELLS

A ten-year Amoeba Music veteran with the record collection to prove it, DJ Kells Bells is always one black plastic platter away from a full-on sonic safari into any number of gaping sub-genres. Verified turn-ons include: escapist Exotica, bargain basement Carolina Beach Music, Sunset Strip sleaze-rock, limitless Space jams, Dungeon Folkways, creepy Sea Chanties, Aerobic Motivationals, High-tension J-Pop, Rock & Roll hoochie koo BBQ smokers, AOR midnight moods, funky Southern mud flaps, Roller Boogie trifles, Solid Bronze windbreakers, most music associated with wizards or the color purple, and Thin Lizzy. When she isn’t awkwardly describing her interests in the third person, she writes for the Amoeblog.
