Cali-Reggae chillers Rebelution have had audiences feelin' irie ever since their 2007 debut Courage to Grow became a West Coast favorite for its unique blend of beachy grooves and socially conscious lyrics. Hailing from the sleepy beach city of Santa Barbara, California, Rebelution formed just a few short steps from the beach — a fact that's reflected in their laid back brand of Reggae fusion. After rising to local success with tireless touring up and down the California coast, the band made their album debut with 2007's Courage to Grow, which was selected as iTunes Editor's Choice for Best Reggae Album of 2007. 2009 follow-up Bright Side of Life would prove an even bigger success, landing at No. 1 on the Top Reggae Albums chart and leading to slots at festivals including Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. With a new album in the works and extensive tour dates in 2014, Rebelution is poised to achieve even greater heights.
