RDG + K Man (SF DEBUT)

SEE EVENT DETAILS
RDG (Circle Vision / Surfase Records / Subaltern Records / NEW WORLD AUDIO / TUBA / All Out Dubstep / BOKA Records / Biscuit Factory Records / dubliminal / Kraken Recordings) [USA DEBUT]

“Denmark’s RDG may not have foreseen the impact he would make on the dubstep genre when he first started producing back in 2009.

“Having initially made his mark with releases on respected imprints like Dubliminal, Boka and New World Audio early in his career, the Copenhagen-based musician launched a digital imprint in early 2012. Surfase Records, unlike many other young labels, has stood the test of time and has gone on to be a reliable stable for quality bass music - for both RDG and other producers.

“But it’s been over the last 17 months or so that have really announced Ruben’s arrival. With standout releases on the USA’s TUBA, France’s Lutetia Dubz and the UK’s Biscuit Factory Records - not to mention a collaborative appearance with Hitman and AxH on the brilliant Subaltern.

“While RDG’s continued to produce and release his quality bass driven music, his Surfase imprint has also thrived with a number of releases from both new and established artists. Ruben announced his move into other formats with the early 2014 appearance of Circle Vision - a vinyl-only label to accompany his efforts with the digital-only Surfase.

“With an impressive body of work as an production artist, a reputation as a solid DJ, and two quality record labels to his name, it’s safe to say RDG has contributed a significant amount to dubstep. Having worked with him since the early days, we hope he continues to do so - and we’ll watch his progression with great interest…”

K Man (Circle Vision / DEEP MEDi / MindStep / Sub Freq) [SF DEBUT]

Transmissions have been received from K Man, and the noises we've picked up have been ridiculous and off the charts. Circle Vision were able to capture and decode a bit called Metaharmonics. Its clear K-Man has learned a new language while in orbit. It would be wise to reach for a lesson as he'll be sharing the fruits of his travels. It will be difficult to decipher, but we have local translators you are familiar with.

Saule (Gourmetbeats / Dubs Alive Records / Surfase Records)
Learning music as a youth at his father's recording studio in Oakland, California, Skyler Saulovich (aka Saule) is no stranger to bass heavy beats across several underground dance music genres. His earliest electronic dance music influence is 6Blocc, whose varied blends of Drum & Bass, Jungle, and West Coast Hip Hop sparked Saule's entrance into DJing, and eventually musical production. Since 2009, Saule has had digital releases on several recording labels. Saule approaches musical production with creative sampling, dubwise basslines, and powerful percussion. Dubstep luminaries such as Joe Nice, Kursk, Mala, N-Type, and Beezy support Saule's exclusive tunes on SubFM, RinseFM, and at various live performances around the world. His recognition and support is well-deserved, making Saule a name to watch in 2016 and beyond.

Neba Kaneza (Ritual Dubstep San Francisco)
He started a weekly event in San Francisco with his business partner Johnny 5, called Ritual, which lasted for 3 years and at one point was the largest reoccurring Dubstep event on the West Coast. They eventually expanded into Los Angeles and other clubs in San Francisco. Later, he became a music director for another commercial radio station, Live 105, for their late night dubstep program, Wobble Wednesday. Recently he was on the cover of the SF Bay Guardian newspaper and won their annual Goldie award. He is still collecting music on a large scale, throwing successful events, and causing a ruckus with no sign of slowing down.

Darsh (Bunkr Music / 140 Ninja / playhous.net)
LA born, SF grown, Darsh is steadily climbing the ranks of the Deep Dubstep and Grime scenes at a furious pace. Within 2015 he's had 3 official releases and started his own record Label, Bunkr Music, (co-owned by Playhous Entertainment), and shows no sign of slowing down. Darsh has been stockpiling dubplates and sitting on countless tracks, just waiting for a night like this to unleash his heaviest material. Incorporating elements of the deeper side of dubstep, while leaning heavily on his UK Grime roots; expect nothing but bass and rap vocals from the man like Darsh when he takes the decks.
