Raw Fusion and Lotus are proud to present the newest outpost of the critically acclaimed label right here in San Francisco. Raw Fusion SF will take place every fifth Saturday of the month offering the best selection of soulful dance music around the globe. Please join us on this special opening night and Halloween celebration at the new Jazz aged influenced, hot spot EVE.

SIMBAD (RawFusion UK)
London-based DJ and producer Simbad is a dance-floor iconoclast through and through. By combing through stacks of records in relatively left-field genres — dancehall, broken beat, disco, jazz — he's become a connoisseur of what he terms "quality booty music." The artist has recorded as Heal, Twitch, Dreadpoet, Marathon Men, and Mowgly & Les Barons, to name a few. Tonight, Simbad makes his first-ever DJ appearance in the city of Angels, sharing select cuts from his new record at Zanzibar's always-bumping monthly Latin-Afrobeat party.

JayVi Velacso (AfterAfter Hours SF)
Jayvi Velasco began mixing records in early 1991. By the summer of that year Jayvi had purchased 2 turntables, a mixer & 2 crates of records (most of which were House). Jayvi was inspired early in his career by the likes of Masters At Work, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Pete Avila, DJ EFX, DJ Digit, Blackstone, Jeno, Spun, Carlos & all the other usual suspects that were big in the early 90s SF dance scene. Not to mention his mentors Jomar & Jorge Terez. Since the early 90s Jayvi Velasco has played at literally hundreds of events all over California ranging from clubs, undergrounds, massive raves, boat parties, house parties, loft parties, renegade beach parties, one-offs etc Jayvi was also part of the Meow Entertainment DJ tour of Asia/Philippines in 2005.
