Kennedy recently published book reckons with one of the most explosively contentious and sharply divisive issues in American society, sharing the little-known history of affirmative action and exploring the policy's pros and cons. Kennedy was awarded the 1998 Robert F. Kennedy Book Award for Race, Crime, and the Law. Now a professor at Harvard Law School, he formerly served as a law clerk for Justice Thurgood Marshall of the United States Supreme Court.
