On July 16th Shiba Ramen, a ramen shop run by two former chemists in Emeryville Public Market, is partnering up with Fieldwork brewery to pair beer with ramen. Some things undeniably work together, and beer and ramen are no exception.
Fieldwork Brewing Co. is a craft brewery founded in Berkeley dedicated to honest beer making and also Shiba Ramen’s neighbor. The afternoon will include tastings, beer flights and of courses lots of ramen noodles. Both a representative from Fieldwork and Jake Freed from Shiba Ramen will be present to answer any vexing beer or ramen questions.
In addition to Shiba’s signature ramen dishes, Shiba will be offering a small snack of either Shiba wings, salad ramen or okonomiyaki (a Japanese savory pancake) to pair with three five-ounce beer pours for around from $12 to $13.
