Description

Together, once again, we come together as beacons of light, lenders of love, and providers of sanctuary for those less fortunate than us. Disaster has struck undoubtedly due to the climate changing effects of global warming and the realities of a third world country's unpreparedness to deal with it.

We know many have perished, are missing and that there are those who are in pain, homeless and stricken w/ typhoid from the flood waters of the South Pacific typhoons in Manila and don't even know it. Then there's us living here in a land rich with wealth where the worst worry is "where are we going to eat next with our reduced paycheck?", and not "when are we going to be able to get something to eat?"

Please come out and support the cause by joining us on this very special evening- 'cause IT IS REAL, it's LIVE, and it is VERY MUCH NEEDED. Your contributions as well as attendance could literally save lives and bring hope to those who need it most.

Minimum donation of $15 at the door.

With $15 = one LARGE relief bag with:

5 kilos rice
12 assorted canned goods (155g each)
10 bottled water (500mL each)
8 packs of instant noodles
4 cans milk (317mL per can)
8 packs assorted crackers & cookies
hygiene kit - 1 bar bath soap, 1 bar laundry soap/detergent, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo
1 blanket

A relief bag of this size will last one family of 5 members for 2 days! Imagine what $20 or $50 or $100 can do!

All proceeds from the door will be going to WE INTERNATIONAL PHILIPPINES. Please take the time to view their website and see why they have been chosen to donate the funds through them. They are personally known and are trusted like family. Know that 110% of the assistance donated will most certainly get to the victims. Not to say that any other organization won't, but WE INTERNATIONAL PHILIPPINES...is trusted wholeheartedly.

FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT MAKE IT TO THE EVENT BUT WOULD LIKE TO DONATE, PLEASE VISIT:

PLEASE INDICATE UNDER "NOTES" : RAISING HOPE SUPPERCLUB. This will help us track online donations.

Environmental issues are playing very important roles in our reality today, and as we all try to (hopefully) do our part with sustainability and being environmentally-conscious, there are those who already have made their mark through what they do best.

ECO-FASHION SHOW

I have chosen ODA (www.odastyle.com) to showcase a great example of what entrepreneurial and environmentally conscious talent can do....which in turn, inspire others to follow their own dreams at such a time of climate change calamities worldwide.I certainly am a huge fan!

"In line with oda's belief in the use of socially and environmentally sound materials and practices, cottons, hemps and wools are organically produced. The other fabrics are made from natural fibers like soy, and colors are hand-dyed or tea-stained. Clothing details are eco-mindful as well; feathers are collected locally from molting chickens and buttons are made from found antlers and bamboo. Maintaining and fostering the skilled crafts of traditional cultures is important to oda's philosophy and inspiration." --- http://www.odastyle.com

Also, the seriousness of Climate Change will be addressed. Most know what it is, but do not realize its severity...especially in third world countries wherein there is a lack of understanding due to the lack of educational support for the poor and language gaps of understanding. This needs to change today. Help make green education and proper sustainable urban planning and design development a reality in third world countries (such as in the South East) to enable adapting to the climate changes that the earth has already began to experience.
