Berkeley's up and coming progressive rock band Raiju catch that perfect balance among melodic pop songwriting, thrashing guitars and technical wizardry, sort of like a cross between Mastodon and Dream Theater. They are still young, having just formed in March. But hey, metal is a young man's sport, though they have the chops of musicians 10 years their senior.
