In 1975, the Lubavitch Rabbi Yosef Langer and KQED’s Zev Putterman worked with Bill Graham to create the first public menorah lighting outside Israel. Rabbi Langer discusses this 22-foot menorah still burns every Hanukkah in Union Square.

Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Bill Graham and the Rock & Roll Revolution.
