Games aren’t just for fun anymore. With humble beginnings on arcade machines and the Atari 2600, video games have expanded to become a cultural phenomenon and unique technique for education, storytelling, social change, and of course entertainment.
Classroom Applications:
-Learn the basics of computer programming using Game Maker
-Create a game to tell a story or demonstrate a concept
-Design a game as a class or in small groups
Two session (with a break for lunch) August 4th and 5th 9am-3pm
