*POLYRHYTHMICS* (*SICK-AFROBEAT-FUNK*) and: *IDEATEAM* DJ K-OS Polyrhythmics is an all original 8-piece afro-funk and world beat orchestra comprised of some of Seattle’s finest rhythmic and melodic musicians. The music is a fusion of styles from all over the world, featuring unique, forward thinking arrangements, stellar improvisation, heavy grooves, and dynamic interplay. Polyrhythmics are : Ben Bloom – Guitar Grant Schroff- Drums Jason Gray – Bass Nathan Spicer – Keyboards Lalo Bello- Percussion Scott Morning – Trumpet Elijah Clark -Trombone Art Brown – Tenor Sax and Flute Drawing from modern influences such as the Budos Band and The Whitefield Brothers as well as their original influences, Fela Kuti, and James Brown, “Labrador” is a shining example of the chemistry between these 8 talented performers and why, in a seemingly endless sea of new funk bands, Polyrhythmics is the band everyone is talking about. plus: *IDEATEAM* Ideateam is more than just a funk band. They are a 9-piece freakout team who makes it a point to explore groove, flipping throughmusical styles like a deck of cards and leaving the concept of genre as flat as the Guinness you use for your Irish Carbomb. 3 years deep into their game, Ideateam brings a wall of sound wrought with sharp brass from their 3-piece horn squad, the interweaving signatures of 2 guitars , a filthy foundation of nasty bass, deep-pocket polyrhythms from a percussionist and a kit player, topped with powerful vocals. Their organic development has led to a sound that brings essences of old and new, blended with a drop or two of extraterrestrial soundscapes, and presented by a group of people who simply love to play music. Ideateam’s debut album &?! (AND WHAT NOW) is scheduled to be released Halloween 2014, and contains 45 minutes of original instrumental material from the band’s inception. Looking toward the future, Ideateam plans to record their next album at the turn of the year, seeking greater and greater opportunities and stages to host their musical offerings, and new horizons to trudge into. Joe Carusi: Drums Roibeard Kyle Pulskamp-Lockhart: Bass Timothy Snoke: Guitar (Left) Justin Butler: Guitar (Right) Mark Miller: Alto Sax Chris Ryan: Tenor Sax Josh Cambridge: Trombone Mike Ruiz: Bongos, Congas, Timbales, Aux. Percussion. Garret Wildgust: Vocals
