Due to popular demand, Point Break LIVE! and Terminator Too: Judgment Play have been extended at the storied DNA Lounge through to December 2014, with a new performance schedule beginning Friday, August 1, 2014.
Beginning on Friday, August 1, and for every first Friday of every month for the rest of 2014, Terminator Too: Judgment Play will be at 7:30 pm and Point Break LIVE! at 11:00 pm at the DNA Lounge.
San Franciscan’s have a long love affair with Point Break LIVE! since it debuted in April 2008. With a new home at the DNA Lounge and entering the eighth month of Point Break LIVE!’s third extended San Francisco performance run, and with the addition of Terminator Too: Judgment Play, fans continue to – literally – get into the action and sell out every single fully immersive theatrical experience.
Point Break LIVE!, now in it’s tenth year as Los Angeles’ longest running renegade comedy theater production, is the absurdist stage adaptation of the 1992 Keanu Reeves/Patrick Swayze extreme-sports blockbuster, and the only play in the world that begs the most philosophical question posed to mankind; “Can You Keanu?” That’s because every show features a new unrehearsed actor (selected from the audience), playing ‘Johnny Utah‘ with their lines read off cue cards so as to capture Keanu Reeves raw acting talent.
And after you do the Keanu, do you have what it takes to play the most renowned and beloved vigilante cybernetic organism in this or any other time/space continuum in Terminator Too: Judgment Play? For each show, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s lead role features a new and unrehearsed actor (also selected from the audience), playing the ‘Terminator‘ with their lines read off cue-cards so as to capture Arnold’s Aryanesque Austrian-influenced acting awesomeness.
Complete with actors zooming onto the stage from zip lines and repelling from the ceiling, car chases, sky diving and surfing sequences, super-soakers, fake blood, and delicious meatball and Turkinator sandwiches, both shows are action-packed, wet, interactive, loud, extreme, awesome and, according to the SFWeekly, “loud, hysterical and occasionally frightening.”
