San Francisco Performances presents pianist Sarah Cahill, called "A sterling pianist and an intrepid illuminator of the classical avant-garde" by The New York Times. Cahill's concert is titled "Chaconnes, Revisited" and acts as an expansion to her May 4 Salon at The Hotel Rex program in which she traced the life cycle of the Chaconne from its origin through the 21st century. Cahill will perform Bay-area based composer Danny Clay's Still Cycles (after G.F. Handel) (2016) which she commissioned, plus John Blow's Chaconne in G minor, Sofia Gubaidulina's Chaconne, Georg Friedrich Handel's Chaconne in G major, Cecile Chaminade's Chaconne, Op. 8, and Louis Couperin's Chaconne in D minor.
