SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church - D Building (see times)
Photographer and theologian Kim Daus-Edwards will discuss "The Cross Between Art and Faith" on Thursday, August 22 at 7:30pm in Menlo Park. The presentation will take place at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church's D-11 Building at 1111 University Drive in Menlo Park.

Daus-Edwards has published three books, speaks internationally, and pioneered a process called "Visual Exegesis" that uses imagery to study Scripture. This will be an inspiring talk not just for photographers, but for anyone interested in the intersection of art and faith.

During her talk, she will share the Biblical foundation and mandate to create, as well as her story of integrating art, faith, community, career, and calling. She will describe how God gifts certain people with the ability to see the world in pictures, and how to use that gift to minister to others and draw them deeper into faith by using imagery. More information about Daus-Edwards is available at http://daus.com/about-kim.php

The presentation is sponsored by Arts of the Covenant, a group of people interested in exploring the intersection of Christian faith and the visual arts. Emerging and professional artists, art teachers and art therapists who live throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area gather monthly for intellectual stimulation, spiritual nourishment, artistic development and the opportunity to use art in ministry and community service. Newcomers are welcome, and more information is available online at https://artsofthecovenant.shutterfly.com/.
