Photographer Baron Wolman to Sign “The Rolling Stone Years”

On Sunday, December 4, renowned author/photographer Baron Wolman will sign The Rolling Stone Years: Every Picture Tells A Story at Osha Thai Lounge in the Embarcadero.

The 74-year-old Wolman was the first chief photographer for Rolling Stone from 1967 to 1970. His iconic images of just about every first-name-basis sixties rock star (Janis, Jimi, Bob, and Mick among them) make up the new 176-page coffee table book, published earlier this year by London’s Omnibus Press. The book also includes Wolman’s firsthand accounts of the stories behind his photos and his recollections of the era.

Wolman’s December 4 and 5 appearances in Corte Madera and San Francisco, respectively, are the tail-end stops of the Cosmic World Book Tour. Many of the images found in The Rolling Stone Years were shot in the San Francisco area, also the birthplace of Rolling Stone Magazine.
