Souls of Mischief celebrated the 20th anniversary of their underground classic "93 til Inifinity" last year, and the collective is still going strong. Phesto Dee is one of the four members of Souls of Mischief, who all in turn make up half of Oakland's Hieroglyphics crew (just think of it like a couple Venn diagrams). Known for his complex rhymes and up-tempo flow, Phesto recently dropped his second solo full-length, Infrared Rum, on which he produced, arranged and performed each and every track. It's full of Phesto's trademark snarl of wordplay and rhyme over laid-back, jazzy beats. (Stephen Layton)
