Pete Tong bio:
It’s fair to say that Pete Tong’s history is intertwined with the history of acid house and electronic music itself. His career mirrors the story of dance music over the last 25 years. A true renaissance man, Pete has never been about one thing and 2011 represented a significant milestone. The past 18 months has seen Radio 1 hold a special 12 hour takeover on the station celebrating Pete’s 20 years on their airwaves, he’s released three new compilations, Future Underground, (mixed alongside Riva Starr) and All Gone Ibiza ’11 (mixed alongside Felix Da Housecat), and most recently All Gone Ibiza ’12 (mixed alongside Booka Shade) on Defected. In a year of landmarks, he also launched a Las Vegas residency at Encore Beach Club, re-launched his iconic FFRR label at Warner Music, headlined Glastonbury’s dance tent and curated his own tent at the world-famous (and the UK’s coolest) Bestival festival, launched the All Gone App, mixed Mixmag’s covermount CD, and scored the music for a Cultural Olympiad Film.
Add to all this his constant touring, an ibizian residency, production work, remixes, music supervision, film scoring, and a weekly Radio 1 show, and he’s without question the busiest man in dance.

Kolsch Bio:
For Rune Reilly Kölsch, Kompakt has become a great label to call home. In 2013 the German imprint celebrated 20 years of record releases at the cutting edge of electronic music, championed in June by one of the most genre re-defining albums and personal music projects for an era: Kölsch’s landmark long player, ‘1977’.

A melodic autobiography on black wax, the Kölsch project has seen 36/37-year-old Rune take stock of a diverse and successful production career and draw upon his own personal beginnings: a nostalgia for childhood, family, friends and the confusion of applying his split-cultural heritage to what it means to think of ‘home’. As Rune freely admits, “being half Irish, half German and living in Denmark – it was all one big messy period of my life.”

Born to hippie parents in the freetown of Christiania (a commune-like autonomous borough of the Danish capital Copenhagen) his childhood was spent surrounded by creativity. His mother was an artist whose family had roots in German politics and his father a singer songwriter who travelled through Asia playing music in the early 70′s. Kölsch, however, did miss out on building friendships and found solace in making up “this imaginary world that I would spend days in,” before the family moved to Germany – a period of memories, relations and characters from which ‘1977’ derives its titles.

Ricoshei bio
Ricoshëi’s debut hit single “Perfect Like You” was released in 2014 on DJ Koze’s highly-acclaimed imprint, Pampa Records reaching #5 on the industry-leading, Hypem.com overall chart the following week. It consequently went on to hold chart positions on Beatport, Decks.de and Juno.co.uk’s top charts for several months and has accumulated well over 1M plays. Their most recently released EP, “Ghosts” garnered much attention and support from top-leading club djs such as Groove Armada’s Tom Findlay, Route 94, Nick Warren, Kiki and Joris Voorn to name a very select few as well as positive press reviews and a staggering rating of 9/10 on Ibiza-Voice. Their music has continually been featured on the regular programming of globally recognized radio networks such as iHeartRadio’s “The IndependentFM”, Los Angeles-based “KCRW”, Sirius Radio’s “XMU” Channel 35, Toronto’s “CHRY 105.5FM” , Italy’s “RAI Radio2”, Ibiza-Sonica, Lebanon’s NRJ 99.1 FM, Germany’s Fritz Radio FM, Vienna’s FM4 and in the UK on BBC Radio6. Most recently, German music website, Trndmusik.de named “Perfect Like You” their #1 song of 2014.

With 2015 well underway, the duo comprised of Nikko Gibler and Jake Patrick have launched their new label, “What’s That?” through which they will be releasing “original music that showcases all-shades of electronica and other greatly unexpected genres. We [RICOSHËI] won’t limit the label to any one particular sound.”

Throughout February and March 2015, Ricoshëi performed 16 sold-out shows across America during which they supported Eric Prydz’ “Pryda Generate Tour”. The tour visited major cities across 9 US states as well as Toronto & Montreal in Canada. “Exchange” in Los Angeles, “New City Gas” in Montreal, Denver’s “Beta”, “Verboten” in Brooklyn, NY, “The Mid” in Chicago and “Coda” in Toronto were only

some of the venues that hosted the tour during those 30 days. The one-month tour came to an end with an epic closing party at San Francisco’s “Mezzanine” on March 14th 2015.

Within weeks of Pryda’s “Generate Tour”, Ricoshëi headed out to Miami Beach where they performed at Pete Tong’s infamous “All Gone Pete Tong” pool party during MMW2015. Around that same time they would perform at “Luciano & Friends” – an all-day party at the now, world-renowned Hyde Beach located inside the SLS Hotel.

In the last 18 months their success has earned them slots at some of the biggest festivals around; including Coachella, Lollapalooza, The BPM Festival, SXSW and Mexico City’s massive Corona Capital. On May 23rd 2015, Ricoshëi will perform on the main stage at Mysteryland USA in Bethel, New York. This will take place exactly where Woodstock ’69 took place and with artists such as Ritchie Hawtin, Diplo, Empire of The Sun, Kygo, Matthew Dear, Nicole Moudaber, Robin Schulz & more…

Whether its a dj set or a live performance, their shows perfectly reflect their passion for music as they usually perform on stage with guitars, keyboards, drum-machines, controllers and their already unmistakeable vocals.

• “…a pair of musicians who sound as versed in the minutiae of Peter Gabriel and Talk Talk’s immaculate studio concoctions as they are in the nuts and bolts of contemporary electronic beat-making.” – Spin Magazine, April 2014

• “An impressive, textured and mood drenched EP that holds some serious weight as these newcomers move into 2015 — albeit with confidence and serious skill.” – Ibiza-Voice, January 2015

“[RICOSHËI] sounds like sepia-tinged West-Coast dream pop.”
- Mixmag, December 2014

• “Watch out for Ricoshëi, the DJ/production duo comprised of Nikko Gibler and Jake Patrick who have been making waves in the music scene in Los Angeles and beyond.” – Pulse Radio, May 2014
