Pars Equality Center (PEC) will host its 5th Annual Nowruz Gala in honor of the Persian New Year (formally observed on March 20, 2015). The Gala is raising funds and awareness for the Bay Area-based Pars Equality Center. The Gala marks the 5th year anniversary of the non-profit organization that provides social and legal support for members of the Iranian-American community, including the American-born, refugees and immigrants.
Founder and executive director Bita Daryabari is hosting the event with Iranian-American comedian and actor Maz Jobrani serving as Master of Ceremonies. The evening will feature live musical entertainment by Sepideh, a catered Persian dinner with wine and dessert, plus surprise guests, an auction, dancing, and more.
