Pacific Edge Voices Presents Friede auf Erden: Peace on Earth

Join Pacific Edge Voices in an uncommonly beautiful holiday celebration featuring the rarely performed and moving Magnificat by Imant Raminsh, a Canadian composer of Latvian descent. Also featured are pieces by two of Pacific Edge Voices’ composer friends, Cary Boyce’s ethereal Kyrie and Y’mei hachanukah by Robert Applebaum.
We’ll do some stargazing with Morten Lauridsen, offer a Psalm setting by the 17th century Jewish composer Salamone Rossi and experience the peace of Schönberg’s groundbreaking Friede auf Erden. Add a fair sprinkling of Alleluias, as well as innovative arrangements of our favorite holiday chestnuts, and you’ll be ready for the holidays!
